Bill was the former Infrastructure Administrator for the Fulton-Montgomery Community College. He sees his role on the Foundation as a way to give back to the community he's lived in for over 30 years.

The Foundation for the Amsterdam Free Library is governed by an all-volunteer board of directors. Our members live, work, and raise families in Amsterdam.
Mary Donohue
Treasurer
A retired thirty-five year career librarian, Mary currently serves as President of the Amsterdam Free Library Board of Trustees. She is a life-long resident of Amsterdam who, like most, values the library's heritage as well as its role in the future of Amsterdam.
Amy Liverio
Secretary
Amy taught English for thirty years in Amsterdam and, upon retirement continues to utilize her education and experience as a substitute teacher for BOCES, Ptech, and as a tutor for the Montgomery County Literacy Project. Amy believes in giving back to the community that has given so much to her and her family. As a member of the Foundation, she is dedicated to ensuring the Amsterdam Free Library remains a vibrant educational and cultural cornerstone of the Greater Amsterdam area.
Audrey Egelston
Director
Audrey is a business teacher at Amsterdam High School and a lifelong area resident who is active in a number of community organizations. She joined the Foundation because she believes the library can play an important role in bringing people together and building a stronger Amsterdam.
Jean Karutis
Director
Jean retired from a career in higher education, directing grant programs focused on student success, and continues to work as a grant consultant. Her childhood visits to the Bookmobile in her hometown of Hagaman, New York, sparked a lifelong love of reading, books, and libraries. She is eager to bring her grant-writing experience to the foundation to help secure a strong, sustained financial future for the library.
Lisa Liverio
Director
Lisa Liverio is an Amsterdam native, born and raised right here in the community. For more than twenty years she has been teaching English at Amsterdam High School. Overall, she has dedicated 44 years to education, driven by the belief that reading is a true passion that should be shared. As a board member, she believes public libraries are vital cornerstones for local communities, acting as gateways that open the world up for exploration and endless discovery.
